What it is for. Every payment the business has received. These rows are what the rest of the app calls "Revenue" β the Dashboard, Reports and the profit and loss all read this table.
What you see. A total at the top, then payments folded by year and by month, newest first. Each year and month shows its own total and how many payments it holds. Expanding a month lists the payments with date, amount, customer, invoice and method. A year dropdown and an Annual PDF button sit beside the total.
Payments with a missing or unreadable date are grouped under Undated rather than being hidden.
The page loads your 300 most recent payments. Past that, the total is a total of what loaded.
Creating one. Record Income asks for the amount, date, customer, invoice and payment method.
The double-counting trap. Recording a payment here does not mark the invoice settled. The invoice still shows as owed. If you later mark that invoice paid, a second income row is written unless the amount and date match exactly β and now the same money is counted twice.
Two ways to avoid it: settle payments from the invoice rather than from here, or, if the damage is done, use Settings β Admin β Clean duplicate income.
What it connects to. Invoices, Customers, the Dashboard and Reports.
