3. Daily Logs

What it is for. The daily site report: one record per project per day, capturing weather, work performed, photos, crew hours, materials used, equipment on site and any safety incidents.

What you see. Entries newest first, filtered by job and by date range. Each entry shows the date, the job, the weather, a summary of the work and the number of photos attached.

Creating one. Pick the job and the date, then fill in as much as applies: weather, work performed, crew members and their hours, materials, equipment, visitors, delays and safety incidents. Photos upload directly onto the entry.

A caution about crew hours. Hours typed into a daily log are a note, not a timesheet. They are not costed, they do not reach Contractor Payments, and they do not appear in Time Tracking totals. If those hours need to be paid or billed, they must also be entered in Time Tracking. This is the most common way labour goes unbilled.

Changing one. Entries are editable and deletable; delete asks first.

What happens automatically. Nothing is sent to anyone. The entry is a record, not a notification.

What it connects to. Jobs, Installers and Equipment. Logs appear on the job they belong to.
