Everything the app does, page by page, from A to Z.

Covers app.builtpro.app as built on 17 August 2026. Every screen, every field, every button, every thing the app does on its own without being asked.

How to read this manual

Each page of the app gets the same seven questions answered:

  1. What it is for β€” in one or two sentences.
  2. What you see when you open it β€” every tab, filter, summary card and column, and where each number comes from.
  3. How to create something β€” the exact button, then every field in the form.
  4. What you can do to a record that already exists.
  5. What happens automatically β€” the part nobody documents and everybody needs.
  6. What it connects to β€” which other pages read from it and write to it.
  7. What is broken or confusing β€” written down plainly rather than left for you to discover.

Where a number on screen is calculated rather than typed, this manual says exactly which records are added up and which are left out. Where a button sends an email to your customer, it says so. If you only read one thing, read Chapter 0 and the automation appendix β€” between them they explain why records appear in your account that you did not create.

A word on that. BuiltPro creates a lot of things on your behalf: complete a job and an invoice appears, mark an invoice paid and an income record appears, mark a purchase order delivered and an expense appears. This is useful right up until you do not know it is happening, at which point it looks like the app is inventing money. The automation appendix lists all of it in one table.
