What it is for. Your price book of materials — what you buy, in what unit, at what cost, from whom — so it can be dropped into an estimate as a line item without retyping.
What you see. Four cards and the list. Two of the cards are worth understanding before you trust them:
- "Most Used" is not a usage statistic. It is simply the most recently created material. Nothing counts how often a material appears on estimates.
- "Total Value" adds up unit costs, not cost times quantity. It is the sum of your price list, not the value of anything you own.
What it connects to. Estimate Detail and Invoice line items, and the Catalog page.
