What it is for. Everything about how your company appears and behaves: your logo and details, document numbering, contract wording, your signature, emails, notifications, payment methods, late fees and your plan.
What you see. A sidebar of tabs on desktop, a grid of buttons on mobile, grouped into four headings:
| Group | Tabs |
|---|---|
| Company | General, Appearance, Profile |
| Documents | Documents, Contract, Signature |
| Communication | Email Messages, Notifications |
| Billing | Payment Methods, Late Fees & Terms, My Plan |
Saving. Most tabs have a Save Settings button at the bottom, and nothing is stored until you press it. Profile and My Plan are the exceptions β those save immediately or are read-only.
The tabs worth setting up first.
- General β company name, logo, contact details, and your Google review link. That link is used in the review request that goes out after a job completes, so it is worth pasting in early.
- Documents β the prefixes and next numbers for estimates, invoices and change orders. Set these before you send anything, because changing them later leaves a gap in your numbering.
- Contract β the terms that attach to an estimate when a client signs. This is the text they are agreeing to.
- Signature β yours, applied to documents.
- Notifications β the one place where several automatic emails and texts can be switched off. See the summary at the end of this chapter.
